Decent Mexican restaurant located right on the beach. There is limited parking on site. Food came out in a timely manner and was pretty good. It would be a nice lunch stop if you're cruising up the coast. There's a small bar at the entrance as well.

Wonderful restaurant in Carlsbad by the ocean! You can smell the salty air and just a quick walk down to the beach. Very friendly employees, helpful and our waitress offered to take our picture. :) Great food not huge portions and loved the margaritas. My sister had a shrimp tostada with black beans and nice crispy veggies. I had taquitos nicely crunchy with just the right amount of guacamole and sour cream and chicken. Enough for a light lunch. Nice atmosphere and next time I'm in town I'll be back!!

Sorry to hear this location has sold and will no longer be Las Olas....So I'll have to try and get my fill of fish tacos and margaritas before then...we've been in Carlsbad less than a week and eaten here twice...

Chips chips and more chips! We stopped in for just a quick bite before playing golf... We had the chicken taquitos, Guacamole and chips and salsa ... no margaritas but boy we saw the margaritas going around and they look delicious we will have to come back for that... This restaurant is very open it has a wonderful breeze that goes straight through the entire place the backside is the ocean side... Extremely friendly staff...

You'll have a hard time beating the quality of Las Olas when searching for Mexican cuisine in the Carlsbad area! The wait on Sunday evening was long, so hanging out next to the bar area for margaritas was a must to pass the time! The bar runners are awesome, with great personalities, and they make a great skinny margarita! Once seated, the carnitas is the way to go! Fantastic tender pork that has obviously been slow cooked! The meat is plentiful and can easily be shared amongst two people. The rice and black beans are a nice substitution from the traditional refried beans. They get very busy due to their location in town, but it's well worth the wait!

Las Olas is part of our family trip tradition every year. We come to Carlsbad and always have our dinner night planned in our itinerary to go to Las Olas. They have always been great and consistent. We went there last night and it was delicious and just a nice vibe too. Sat by the window, people watched and enjoyed a nicely sized Mexican food plate after a long day of fun between beach, Legoland and Sealife. The seafood enchilada is so good and so are their tacos. I highly recommend Las Olas to anyone! It is a must go in Carlsbad. Afterwards go for a walk around town or the beach which is nearby.

If you like cold beer and and authentic Mexican food in downtown Carlsbad then this is your spot, family owned. Plenty of waves to look at, five stars

I have been here numerous times for drinks, it was finally my first time trying the food and I can happily say the food is great! They have a great margarita selection, my favorite is the margarita flight! Due to COVID they no longer serve them. The flights were so great and such a good price too! Any drink you get you'll enjoy it. The chips and salsa are incredible too, the salsa is so flavorful. The food was really delicious. I'm so happy I finally ate here, the enchilada was so perfect. The taquitos on the other hand were the best I've had. They were so delicious and crunchy, with flavorful meat inside. The nachos are also huge with tons of toppings and will satisfy your love for nachos. I can't wait to come back and try more. Perfect drinks and delicious food right by the beach...this place is a win!
